Consistent Review by Aruna
I had the same sparrow crib previously, was happy with it so ordered a second. It is sturdy, solid wood, made in the EU. It wasnt a matter of what to buy, jus where to buy from. You can't beat the advantage of F&F 15% rewards back as this product is never discounted per Oeuf's manufacturer policy. (Posted on 8/19/13)
Excellent Crib, Well Made, Worth the Price Review by Dave
We got the Oeuf Sparrow Crib because of its clean look and because it's coming from a company that i trust. I read somewhere that Oeuf owns its own manufacturing facility in Latvia and they actually oversee the production of their furniture. For me, this is a big deal because I've been involved in the manufacturing business and I know how quality control can be a nightmare for companies having things manufactured in China. We paired the sparrow crib with the naturepedic mattress and couldnt be happier. (Posted on 8/7/13)
Great Crib Review by Nick
This is a wonderful crib. It is a little expensive but not the most expensive Oeuf crib out there. It arrived well packaged with no shipping damage and assembled very easily. It is a stable - all wood construction (minus steel bolts to hold it together). This is different than cheaper cribs that use a metal frame to hold up the mattress. Very impressed with the quality & construction. It also has a nice, simple modern appearance that works easily into our nursery design. (Posted on 7/9/13)
Love it! Review by A&J
The Sparrow is a very stylish and simple modern crib. I think it looks a lot more elegant than the more expensive Classic and the cheaper Rhea cribs. The Sparrow is pricey, but justifiable due to its quality wood materials and non-toxic finish, and that gave me a lot of peace of mind. I did a lot of price shopping and Oeuf seems to maintain this retail price everywhere, but I found that the rewards and deals that F&F offers made buying the crib from F&F a good deal.
The package is very large and bulky, and my box took a real beating during delivery, but the crib items are very well packed with solid plywood sheets protecting the broad sides and lots of styrofoam insulation. Even though the box was very dinged up, the crib was perfectly fine.
I second NYCMOM’s comment about being careful when screwing in the long screws that attach to the crib’s rail frame. The instructions are not clear, and if you tighten it too much at first, it’ll push through the other side of the wood. Just turn it once or twice to lodge it in, and tighten later when you attach the rail frames to the braces. (Posted on 7/2/13)
Good product Review by NYCMOM
This crib looks great: it's elegant and functional. I did, however, have an issue putting it together and one of the screws nearly came through the other side of the wood. In one of the initial steps you turn one set of screws only one time. This is not clearly stated in the instructions. It is only represented by a number and is therefore easy to miss. So just be mindful of that when putting it together and you will have a great, sturdy crib. I am very happy with my purchase. (Posted on 3/4/13)
