It’s very important to create a natural sleeping surface for a baby. Studies show that a natural sleep surface actually lowers the heart rate and induces deeper, more beneficial sleep. Baby’s growth and development is rapid and babies do tend to sleep a lot, don’t they? This is a wonderful option and we recommend it for infants over 3 months of age.

  *King and California King are created by hand stitching two pieces of fleece together. Seam line is on the reverse side and not noticeable on the fleece side.

Care

Happy Lamb undergoes a natural felting process within the first 6-8 months of consistent use, during which time the fleece takes on a slightly matted appearance. Spot clean and sun during this time to refresh. After the initial break-in period, Happy Lamb Fleece can be machine washed in cold water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your Happy Lamb. For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (try Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry.

The scent of wool - The wool, both natural and organic, is cleaned and processed naturally without the use of harsh chemicals. That's why you may notice the mild sweet scent of sunny farm pastures when you receive your new wool product. The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.
